Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the economic effectiveness of construction waste management by using a system dynamics approach. Firstly, interrelations of factors affecting the economic effectiveness of construction waste management were depicted. Then a dynamic model was developed for assessing the economic effectiveness of construction waste management with the aid of Vensim software package. The findings show that the model established is reliable and effective for assessment. Meanwhile, the model could be adopted for assessing the economic effectiveness of construction waste management and provide useful guides and references for relevant decision making.

Key words
