Based on analyzing the warfare complexity, this article describes some important characters from the point of view of system science, such as openness, complexity, emergence and giant of military system. Moreover, it reveals the essence of military system and discusses that military is an open giant complex system. The conclusion is as follows, methodology of metasynthesis should be applied to deal with complicated matters in the military system.
