Abstract

This paper considers a two\|stage queueing network where the first stage with one server and the second stage with two servers each of whom has its infinite queue. Two classes of customers are first served at the first stage server and subsequently proceed to the queue at the server corresponding to their classes in the second stage. A reward is earned whenever the server at the first stage completes a customer and a holding cost is incurred by a customer in the queue in the second stage. The objective is t...
