Abstract

The three key parameters of mine fires are local airflow velocity, temperature and oxygen concentration. According to the theories of seepage in porous media, heat transfer and heat dispersion, mathematical models were constructed based on the three parameters. The models can be used for early prediction of mine fires and for estimation of the lecel of spontaneous combustion.Proper use of the models can assist preventing and controlling mine fires.

Key words
